News: Polish entrepreneur all smiles in Rotherham

By

A Polish entrepreneur is set to grow his business in Rotherham by offering more affordable dental and medical care overseas.

Krzysztof (Christopher) Suski from Warsaw has benefited from the support of the ERDF-funded project called Growth and Prosperity in Rotherham (Soft Landing Zone) and established B & T Solutions Ltd, based in RiDO's Moorgate Crofts business centre.

The project helps overseas companies looking to establish operations in the UK, explore the UK market or to use the UK as a base for further European activities. It also helps local companies to grow by boosting their exports.

The Health and Travel side of B & T Solutions Ltd will enable UK residents to access medical and cosmetic dental treatment at approved clinics in Poland for less than the same treatment would cost in this country.

With extensive connections with high quality Polish dental clinics, arranging the surgery, flights, transfers and accommodation are part of a complete package. In the UK, dental services are far more expensive than in Poland and, in some cases, the cost of overseas treatment will be reimbursed by the NHS.

The company will also be offering advice to UK businesses which are looking to set up in Poland, providing support with company registration, recruitment of staff, location of workspace and advice on legal and tax issues.

Christopher Suski, managing director of B & T Solutions, said: "I decided to start my business in Rotherham because of the support available through RiDO and I have been really pleased with the advice I've had on registering the company, taxation and market research through them.

"Moorgate Crofts Business Centre is a great place for BT Solutions to be based and I hope it will grow rapidly and enable me to create new jobs in the South Yorkshire area.

"As the UK has some of the highest costs in Europe for dental care, my aim is to make specialist dental treatments more affordable, whilst giving UK residents the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful sights and culture of Poland."

RiDO, the regeneration arm of Rotherham Council has been working with international organisations such as the British Polish Chamber of Commerce (BPCC) to embed additional international business into the area, and help existing businesses to grow in global markets.

Bob Langley, business development co-ordinator for the Soft Landing Zone at RiDO, said: "We are delighted to welcome Christopher as a new business to Rotherham and are pleased he has found our facilities and mentoring so beneficial. We are looking forward to continuing to work with him to support his businesses' growth."

The Soft Landing Zone project sees potential investor companies from overseas offered a comprehensive array of services, including; fully equipped modern office facilities, available on flexible easy in/easy out terms, and with full reception & admin support. Assistance will be provided to access relevant specialist help and advice, linking to appropriate support organisations and trade bodies.

The project has attracted investment from the European Regional Development Fund as part of Europe's support for the region's economic development, through the Yorkshire and Humber ERDF Programme 2007-13.
