News: LSM create new engineering jobs
Award-winning Rotherham manufacturer, London & Scandinavian Metallurgical Co Limited (LSM) and AMG Aluminum have joined forces with Rotherham-based specialist, Elevation Recruitment as part of growth plans which will create eight new engineering jobs in the region.
Founded in 1938 and now part of AMG Superalloys, LSM is a highly successful manufacturer of high specification metals and alloys and an acknowledged global leader in sustainable metal and powder technology. It was recently awarded the Queen's Awards for Enterprise in International Trade at it's Fullerton Road HQ.
Elevation Recruitment's specialist engineering and manufacturing team is working with LSM and aluminium alloy and grain refining business AMG Aluminium on a full marketing campaign to drive the brands forward and to help the businesses to fill a range of engineering vacancies from management positions through to technician level.
Part of the Horbury Group, Elevation was founded in 2010 and doubled its Moorgate office space last year to cater for its rapidly expanding team.
John Bohan, director of engineering and manufacturing recruitment at Elevation, said: "The manufacturing and engineering sector has seen a real boost in terms of recruitment in recent months, particularly as the Yorkshire region leads the way in terms of exporting highly technical and top quality products.
"Over 85 per cent of LSM's and AMG Aluminum's products are for the export market and they are great examples of highly specialised manufacturers with a top class reputation for quality. It is this approach that has enabled them to grow and become acknowledged global leaders in sustainable metal and aluminium alloys from their Rotherham bases.
"We are delighted to be working with them on this new recruitment campaign after successfully helping them to grow their workforce in the past. We will be using the expertise of our specialist engineering and manufacturing division to help advance their businesses further and to market and fill 8 new engineering opportunities with the best candidates in South Yorkshire."

As part of the new campaign Elevation will be hosting a recruitment evening on October 16 between 3pm and 8pm at their South Grove House Office to give engineers in the region a chance to find out more about the vacancies.
