News: Custom Metal Products expands

Specialist manufacturing firm, Custom Metal Products, has moved into larger premises in Rotherham.

Moving from a facility in Masborough, the family-owned business offers bespoke general fabrications, sheet metal work, high definition plasma profiling and general engineering services.

Celebrating its fifth year in business, Custom Metal Products has now moved into larger premises on the Eastwood Trading Estate offering the engineering and construction industry a larger and more efficient service for all accredited steelwork. The firm offers mild steel CE manufactured bespoke goods for customers and are one of the few companies in Rotherham and the surrounding area to offer CE accredited manufactured bespoke fabrications in stainless steel.

The company now has over 11,000 sq ft of manufacturing space.

Howard Hughes, managing director Custom Metal Products, said: "We are looking forward to the future. With all businesses at the moment, it's hard work but we believe the larger premises with 10 tonne cranage will enable us to offer a better service and create more jobs for the area. With the stainless accreditation we will be able to target markets that are not available to others."

Since July 2014 it became a criminal offence to carry out CE approved fabrication works without the relevant CE accreditation. Should any company carry out fabrications post this date without CE approval, all issued materials can be recalled and the company excluded from operating until the relevant CE standards are achieved.
