Bramley, Maltby and Wickersley are all affected also by the horrendous amount of vehicles at peak times. All 3 emergency services have a depot on the Maltby to Rotherham corridor, and this development will make access virtually impossible for them. What price a life though Councillors? Get off your backsides and take a look at other brownfield sites already ripe for development that could be used instead. Leave our area alone as we have enough troubles already with the fiasco that is HS2.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18064590879199822678noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3199919321583468611.post-58730141976424408792019-06-13T23:01:48.236+01:002019-06-13T23:01:48.236+01:00I have only recently seen this proposed developmen...I have only recently seen this proposed development signage. The article states they do not have any end users,so it’s a solution to a problem that doesn’t exist. Around this region there are a number of large brownfield sites,in fact 2 massive plots of land adjacent the M1 at Tinsley on the former steelwork sites that are undeveloped. This is not about low paid warehousing jobs,it’s about the landowners such as British Land and Haworth Group getting the most out of their developments. Traffic leaves Bawtry road and comes up Sandy Lane and Flash Lane. Traffic also backs up right up through Bramley village and out towards Ravenfield on a regular basis. In addition to this development HS2 will build 2 large compounds, one adjacent Bawtry Rd and another in Slacks Field. There are estimated to be 85 lorries a day moving around the transport corridors. These have yet to be announced. In addition all of the trees will be removed adjacent the motorway to channel out a 40 foot deep cutting right through the centre of all this area. This will go on for more than 5 years. They will then come back with the railhead to lay track and infrastructure. Oh and some one who happens to have vested interests in this new development has developments at Waverley and the HS2 depot in Leeds. Think it won’t affect Bramley and Hellaby , Maltby,Thurcroft and Wickersley.
