The Horbury Group organised the company fundraiser in aid of one of their chosen charities for 2009, Ashgate Hospice.
The event, which took place at Renishaw Park Golf Course, raised more than £1,350 for the hospice - an independent registered charity that provides specialist palliative care, both in the hospice and community settings, for adults in North Derbyshire.
Trevor Wragg, managing director of the Horbury Group, said: "Staff at Ashgate hospice do fantastic work to ensure that patients receive the best care, giving them the highest quality of life possible. As a charity, however, they rely greatly on donations from members of the public to continue the work that they do.
"After nominating Ashgate Hospice as one of our chosen charities, we wanted to kick start our fundraising with a fun event which could get the whole team involved. The day was fantastic and, although many participants turned out to be pretty competitive, it went down really well!"
More than 75 people attended the event, including staff from some the companies that make up the Horbury Group – Titan Ceilings Ltd, MWS Joinery, Magna Plant and Tool Hire Ltd, Croft Electrical Engineering Ltd, Environ Safety Management Ltd, Horbury Building Systems and Millstone Building Ltd.
Ashgate Hospice's aim is to enable people with palliative care requirements to have access to appropriate professional assistance and care and to help patients achieve the best possible quality of life in accordance with their wishes.
The company's second nominated charity is Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice, a hospice which offers respite care for terminally ill children.
