News: Carol is Rotherham's employee of the year

Carol Watson, Rotherham Centre Director at Oracle Training Consultants Ltd has been named as Employee of the Year Award (sponsored by Morthyng) at the Rotherham Business Awards 2009.

Carol is one of the longest serving members of the Oracle team. She began as a part time assessor and has gradually worked her way up the position of Director of the Rotherham centre. She has also taken the lead in setting up the new Birkenhead centre.

Carol said: "It's now eight years since I first started working towards my assessor's award at Oracle. I was called into the office thinking I was to be reprimanded but it was to be congratulated.

"I was shy and totally lacked confidence in what I was doing. Who would have thought then that one day I would have been collecting this award? I owe so much to Sally and Diane who obviously saw the potential in me which I never thought I had."

Ed Fairfield of Flexseal and Sharron Pearce of Solaglas Windowcare were highly commended.
