Assured Fire and Security has been awarded a major contract with one of the country's leading developers of laboratories and research facilities.
Scientific Lesser provides design and project management for advanced research facilities.
The company specialises in working with the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors and in experimentation, research and development for a variety of research and laboratory uses and hazard classifications.
Dinnington-based Assured will provide fire safety, fire suppression and water mist systems for Scientific Lesser's new Cardiff site in a contract worth £190,000.
Also this month, Assured's managing director Simon Stokes announced that he is hoping to raise at least £2,000 for one of Britain's top charities after landing himself a place in this year's London Marathon.
"I feel very privileged that I've been awarded a place to run and raise money for Mencap," said 37-year-old mountaineer and sports enthusiast Simon.
"We've been looking after fire safety for 450 Mencap properties for the past eight years so we already have a strong bond with them and I can't think of a better or more deserving organisation to be running for.
"I'm now well into my training schedule because, even though I've never run in a marathon before, I'm hoping to raise at least £2,000."
