Run by The Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), the MX Awards are the UK's longest running business awards of its kind and were established 28 years ago to protect manufacturing and promote best practice.
Judging the 18 finalists this year will be business experts from PricewaterhouseCoopers, Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG) and Autodesk, amongst others. The firms will then battle it out in a two-day final judging process at IMechE's London headquarters before the final winners are announced at the Dorchester on June 23.
AESSEAL has a chance of winning any of the 12 awards that are up for grabs including Best SME, Best Overall Business, Product Innovation, Process Innovation, Best Financial Management, Best Business Education Partnership and Sustainable Manufacturing.
A leading panel of industry professionals will be on hand throughout the competition to provide free business advice to companies, worth more than £20,000.
Graeme Allinson, Head of Manufacturing and Transport Logistics at Barclays, which is supporting the Best Financial Management Award, said: "The MX Awards are one of the mainstays of the British manufacturing calendar, a chance to not just celebrate the success of innovative manufacturers, but to understand what the future holds for this vitally important sector."
With their global headquarters at Templeborough, AESSEAL is the world's fourth largest mechanical seal business with a global footprint in 33 countries.
They specialise in the design and manufacture of mechanical seals, bearing protectors and environmental control systems for process equipment, maximising reliability and protecting the environment from leakage.
