News: Parkgate and Rotherham United extend partnership

Rotherham United has announced a contract extension with home shirt sponsors Parkgate Shopping.

The Millers have agreed a deal which will see the Parkgate logo remain on the front of the home shirt for, at least, the next two seasons.

The news follows the recent extension with car dealers Perrys who also agreed to extend their partnership.

Rotherham United's commercial director Steve Coakley said: "I am delighted that we will be extending our relationship with Parkgate Shopping.

"Rotherham United have a long and successful history with Parkgate and this news will further strengthen our fantastic and ever developing working relationship.

"The partnership is mutually beneficial to both the club and Parkgate Shopping. This relationship fits perfectly with the strategic needs and requirements of both businesses and we are already working together on numerous activities throughout the forthcoming calendar year."

Parkgate manager Denis Copeland added: "We are very pleased to announce that the landlords of Parkgate Shopping have confirmed a two year extension to the Parkgate Shopping shirt sponsorship of Rotherham United Football Club.

"We are delighted by this news, and doubly pleased that it follows swiftly on from the announcement of the new stadium back in Rotherham. During our current relationship we have also been able to participate in many joint community activities.

"Rotherham United and Parkgate share common values of local community support and we look forward to growing these and other initiatives over the next few years."
