News: DuoCall secures exclusive 4G deal

By

Rotherham-based DuoCall Communications is set to help local businesses take advantage of some of the fastest mobile connections in the UK after being appointed as an exclusive launch partner by 4G provider Everything Everywhere.

The recently launched service is regarded by many industry experts as capable of transforming the way in which businesses work, with Sheffield one of the first areas in the UK to benefit from the technology. Businesses will benefit from superfast connectivity, enabling larger files to be downloaded, higher quality streaming of HD video and music, as well as opening up the possibility of mobile video conferencing.

As an exclusive reseller, Templeborough-based DuoCall is one of a small number of telecommunications providers throughout the UK to offer bespoke business packages, allowing them to harness the technology while on the move.

Phil Coley, director of DuoCall Communications, said: "Sheffield's new 4G network offers a range of possibilities that are likely to help individuals to save time, money and even offer improved levels of customer service. The increased speeds associated with 4G means that mobile workers will be able to keep in touch with office, helping to improve efficiency as they move from job to job without the need for multiple devices.

"Face-to-face video conferencing and accessing and reviewing large files while on the move are all likely to become a reality with 4G and the opportunities for businesses to harness the technology are almost limitless.

"It's a great honour for DuoCall to be chosen as one of a select number able to help businesses in the region to take advantage of 4G from its outset, not only helping them to reap the benefits of the new technology, but also helping to ensure that the systems chosen are tailored to meet the bespoke needs of their company."

EE, formerly known as Everything, Everywhere has been created through a merger of the existing T-Mobile and Orange networks. Its 4G service will cover a third of the population by the end of 2012.

The Advanced Manufacturing Park in Rotherham is one key development that can already access a good level of 4G coverage.
