News: BHP and Bromley Techologies going for gold
Barber Harrison & Platt, the largest independent firm of chartered accountants in Yorkshire, has teamed up with Rotherham based Bromley Technologies to support Great Britain's Formula Ice 2010 athletes as they bid for Olympic success in Vancouver later this month.
Based on the Advanced Manufacturing Park, Bromley Technologies' Formula Ice programme gives ice sport athletes technical support and equipment developed through its research and development programme. They support Kristan Bromley and Shelley Rudman in the skeleton and Nicola Minichiello in the bobsleigh.
Don Gray, Corporate Finance partner and head of BHP's Rapid Growth team said: "We wish Kristan, Shelley and Nicola every success in Vancouver. Whilst the short term focus is obviously on the Olympics, we are also very excited to be working with the Bromley Technologies team as they continue to grow the wider business using their world class engineering and materials science capabilities."
Mike Maddock, COO of Bromley Technologies added: "We are so pleased to be working with Don and the whole BHP team and this is a perfect partnership for us. We work in an innovative, high performance sport engineering environment and we need to work with a team that understands and lives those ideals.
"The BHP team's reputation and drive to deliver is outstanding, and they have as many trophies in the cabinet as we do! We are looking forward to working with BHP, as a team, and using their knowledge and experience to help us take Bromley Technologies to the next level."
