News: Dearne Valley College hosts free business breakfast
The Business Training Team at Dearne Valley College (DVC) is hosting a free Business Breakfast on March 11.
The aim of the event is for the colleges's Business Training Team to provide information on training opportunities and funding streams available to local businesses and allow participants to network and share experiences with other employers.
This year's guest speaker is Jean Stewart who currently runs JS Development and specialises in assisting businesses to develop and grow by running courses whilst providing mentoring. In her own light-hearted style Jean will talk about "How to Ensure Business Failure", and give real life examples of how not to run an organisation.
Other speakers will include Suzanna Prout, managing director from Xenonex Ltd who will talk about how to get the best from your staff. Xenonex Ltd provides a range of professional executive coaching, consultancy and development services to individuals, teams and organisations in all sectors.
Kaye Williams, DVC Business Development Manager said: "The Business Breakfast is an ideal opportunity to provide local employers with information on training opportunities. There are various funding streams available for training which we would encourage businesses to take advantage of."
Jon Broadhurst from the recently opened Park Inn Hotel from Manvers will talk about the hotel and its services.
The free event takes place at the college from 8.00am - 10.00am on March 11.
