By

Fast-growing Dinnington firm, Assured Fire & Security, has secured a contract with Premier League football club, Norwich City, to ensure the safety of supporters at the club's 27,000-seater Carrow Road stadium.

It is compulsory for modern sports stadia to comply with a strict set of safety regulations in order to guarantee the welfare of all those using them.

Assured meet with Norwich City's safety and security manager to discuss how they could help. Andy the safety manager said: "The safety and comfort of our supporters and staff are of top priority to Norwich City and it is vital that our fire safety systems meet the highest standards available. Our existing systems were outdated and sub-par in this respect, and it was clear upon the meeting that Assured Fire & Security were the company that we wanted to update them."

Assured designed a bespoke system that was installed just two weeks later. It includes a fully networkable, state of the art addressable fire alarm system, and an on-going maintenance contract was agreed for the system.

Simon Stokes, managing director at Assured, said: "It is great to be associated with a Premier League Club like Norwich, and the job was a pleasure to install in such prestigious surroundings.

"Our engineers faced the challenge of repairing an old system with new equipment on a tight deadline ready for the new season. Through close project management and excellent commitment from our engineers we have ensured that Norwich City FC are protected to the highest level."
