Creative Sheffield launched the Sheffield Economic Masterplan last week, setting out their aims for the region. Key targets for 2020 include 30,000 new jobs, average salaries of £25k, improved transport links, a new brand for Sheffield, new business districts and improved collaboration with Manchester and Leeds. The strong links between Rotherham and Sheffield are highlighted with an emphasis on improving connectivity to reinforce and maximise the Sheffield-Rotherham economic zone.
