News: IBA benefit from Dinnington facility

By

IBA (Ion Beam Applications), the Belgian particle therapy and oncology systems specialist, have announced their 2007 financial results and reported sales of €78.3 million for its radiopharmaceutical production/distribution business - up from €66.1 million in 2006. IBA have production facilities in Brussels (Belgium), Udine (Italy), Dinnington (UK) and a recently opened facility in Guilford (UK). The Dinnington facility in Rotherham, which opened last year, produces PET (Positron Emission Tomography) radiopharmaceuticals and was built to serve the north of England. "The opening of this second centre in UK reinforces the position of IBA as the largest radiopharmaceuticals distribution network in Europe and the world," claimed Pierre Mottet, chief executive officer of IBA.
