News: Inditherm's results boosted by large deals

By

Rotherham based Inditherm plc have published their latest financial results with pre-tax losses in the year to December 31 at £714,000 compared to £1.156m a year ago. Turnover increased 19% to £1.86m from £1.56m. Inditherm's energy efficient polymer technology is used in heating mattresses, pipework, sports pitches, storage vessels and medical treatments and the company now works with over 30 medical distributors and overseas partners. Highlights in 2007 included the £199,000 order to supply a pitch heating system for Aston Villa's new training ground, boosting sales, growth and credibility in the market. American firm Smiths Medical boosted sales with an order for launch products and demonstration systems and recently secured their first end-user orders. Inditherm promoted Nick Bettles to the position of Chief Executive following Richard Harpum's retirement in November 2007 and the management team has been strengthened by the appointment of a new Technical Manager and Operations Manager. Looking forward to 2008, Nick Bettles said: "In order to secure a faster route to profitability we intend to focus on areas where we have already demonstrated greatest strength and opportunity. "The proven performance in medical combined with a more focused approach in industrial and construction, give reason for optimism."
