News: Rok establishes new team in Rotherham

By

Rok in Yorkshire has seen its regional maintenance division quadruple in two years, resulting in the establishment of a new team based in Rotherham. The division of the construction firm has grown from nine employees in 2006 to 54 working on responsive and planned maintenance in the region today. Half of this division, which is currently based in Wakefield, will now move to Rok’s Rotherham office to work across the South Yorkshire area. Those selected for this team are people who live in the Rotherham area, keeping true to Rok’s ambitions to employ local people to work in their own communities. As well as the growth in personnel, Rok’s maintenance division now has a significant visual presence across the region, with 50 Rok vans operating in Yorkshire. Steve Sykes, Rok’s regional maintenance leader for Yorkshire, said: "Following two years in which our regional maintenance division has doubled, we now have two teams in Yorkshire serving their areas more locally. "We have won a number of significant contracts in recent months, particularly in the social housing and education sectors, as well as working for some of the nation’s leading insurance companies, and we believe that this will continue to grow."
