By

The Star reports on entrepreneur, Michelle Toms, operator of the Restover Lodge in Rotherham, and her acquisition of two further hotels in Doncaster and Peterborough with the help of local solicitors, Atteys. The deal, for an undisclosed amount, involved a 64 bedroom hotel in Doncaster and a 79 bedroom hotel in Peterborough, which used to be part of the Metro Inns hotel chain. Michelle Toms told The Star: "Our first hotel has enjoyed significant growth, and our new acquisitions mark the next step in the evolution of the business. "I am confident that we will be able to apply our highly successful formula to our new hotels and am very much looking forward to the future." Kerry Miller, commercial property solicitor with Atteys Commercial, added: "The size and scale of this deal is certainly a landmark for Restover Lodge Hotels, and I am delighted that we have been able to help to play a part in the company securing its first major expansion. "It is extremely rewarding when a deal has been completed, and it enables our clients to realise their ambitions." Restover general manager, Carol Simpson, has been promoted to regional manager and will be responsible for overseeing the reopening of the Doncaster Hotel.
