News: Latest Rotherham town centre update

The Spring edition of the Rotherham town centre update is available online now. Further details on the major drive to improve the range of shops and reduce the number of empty units are covered including the shops grants scheme which includes rental contributions and grants for shop fronts and street furniture. Town Centre Manager Julie Roberts is quoted: "The development of a strong independent retail sector is critical if we want to create a vibrant town centre, which is what this business grant scheme is all about. Despite the economic climate we are confident that with our support there are some great opportunities for entrepreneurs." The update also covers recent developments in the high street and the progress of the Rotherham Renaissance regeneration scheme.
