News: New account manager at Rotherham's Beatson Clark

After starting with Beatson Clark in 2004 as a customer service manager, Dave Surgey has now taken on the role of account manager for the export customers and UK distributor partners.


Dave has worked in the glass industry for over 12 years and will be using his experience and extensive product knowledge to assist customers in developing new ranges and suggesting new products, and ultimately working to strengthen the relationship between the Greasbrough Road manufacturers and its customers.

Dave said: "This is the next chapter of my career in the glass industry and this new role is clearly going to be both challenging and exciting. "I am leaving my comfort zone to take on new responsibilities and while there are new skills to be learned, my background and product knowledge should be a real asset to our customers."

Sales and marketing director Lynn Sidebottom said: "Dave joins us at an exciting time with our export sales, which equates to around 20% of our business. We are all faced with the rapidly changing economy, and here in the UK the pound continues to fall against the euro and the dollar. This however provides a fantastic opportunity to revisit our Export Partners to establish new requirements with more competitive pricing using the exchange rate to our customer’s advantage. We are already seeing an influx of new enquiries in this area and doing everything possible to assist our customers to secure new business in the current climate."
