News: Rotherham organisations environmental recognition

Rotherham is well represented on the Environment Index conducted by Business in the Community in Yorkshire.


The index benchmarks the management systems and performance of organisations and the extent to which environmental responsibility is practiced.

Engineering firm AESSEAL has retained its platinum status for the third year running, the highest level within the index, and also received an award as a "Climate Change Champion" for a second year.

AESSEAL is the only manufacturing company in Yorkshire to receive platinum status.

Templeborough print group Horner Brothers and Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council attained gold status.

Bramall Construction was the highest placed construction firm, gaining silver status and Ideal Boilers Ltd were the highest rated new entry in gaining bronze status.

Housing ALMO Rotherham 2010 Ltd also made it onto the list.

The Environment Index is provided free thanks to funding from Carbon Action Yorkshire.
