News: Inditherm at Number 10

By

Following an invitation from the Prime Minister, Inditherm Chief Executive, Nick Bettles, attended a reception at 10 Downing Street this month.

The invitation was in recognition of the Rotherham company's business success in overseas markets.

Lord Mandelson welcomed the guests, representing around 100 UK businesses, and stressed the importance of exports in leading the economic recovery. The Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, addressed the group and offered his congratulations for the export achievements of those present.

Inditherm's niche medical products include the CosyTherm neonatal range which helped them to pick up the UKTI sponsored Export Achievement Award after their export sales increased by a staggering 338%.

UKTI highlighted, amongst other Inditherm activities, the clinical advantages and cost savings the company's medical products can offer. It noted that the Inditherm systems can warm patients during surgery at the same running cost as a light-bulb.

Inditherm CEO, Nick Bettles, said: "Naturally it was an honour for Inditherm to be invited to 10 Downing Street, and pleasing to see recognition of our achievements.

This underlines our success in growing the company's medical product export business and we hope to rise to the challenge of making further strides in the coming years.

We will continue to work with our network of distributors, who are making significant efforts to promote Inditherm products and many of whom are enjoying growing market share in their countries as a result."

In addressing the firms, the Prime Minister said: "We want to thank you for what you've done. These are difficult times. They are really challenging for companies, but all of you have come from different parts of the United Kingdom because you are making a huge contribution to our future.

"We want to support you, we want to back you, always remembering that it is your ideas and your innovation and your dynamism and your excellence that is making the difference."
