News: Rotherham's Magna part of Yorkshire Pass

By

Magna, the UK's first science adventure centre, set in the Templeborough steelworks in Rotherham, is part of the UK's first regional sightseeing pass, the Yorkshire Pass.

Launched this month, the Yorkshire Pass allows entry to over 75 of the region's leading attractions including World Heritage Sites, national museums and leading stately homes.

Gary Verity chief executive of the Welcome to Yorkshire said: "This is brilliant news for Yorkshire. We have the first regional sightseeing pass in the UK which is the second in the world behind Hawaii!

"The Pass gives entry to Yorkshire's crown jewel attractions from World Heritage Sites (Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal) and world firsts (The Deep), to world famous historic buildings (Castle Howard and York Minster) and royal castles (Conisbrough Castle). Every area in Yorkshire is covered by the Yorkshire Pass, and the more you use your Pass the more savings you make."

The Yorkshire Pass is available for durations of one, two, three and six days. A one day pass costs £28, two day pass £38, three day £44 and six day £68.

A complimentary guidebook is also issued with each Pass packed with maps and attraction information plus a special offers booklet with a host of evening entertainment, dining and shopping discounts to make stays in Yorkshire even better value for money.
