News: Sizer supports World Environment Day

By

Rotherham company, Sizer Ltd is helping businesses reduce the impact they have on the environment and are working with customers to explore alternative, more environmentally friendly and profitable methods of dealing with waste materials.

Established by Newburgh Engineering, Sizer is helping a range of businesses across the region reduce the amount of waste they send to landfill and turn this into new income streams via their pelleting solutions.

Roger Pearson, Managing Director of Sizer, hopes World Environment Day will inspire businesses to get involved in pelleting, he said: ""World Environment Day is the perfect opportunity for businesses to consider the impact they have on the environment.

"Many businesses generate waste and getting rid of it can involve a cost to both the company and the environment. Turning waste materials into cash sounds like a dream for most businesses but using our pelleting solutions this can be a reality."

Pelleting is a simple process that turns difficult to handle materials into individual pellets that reduce transportation costs and can be used as a renewable energy source. Depending on the waste material utilised these pellets can be used for anything from animal feed and fertiliser to biomass fuel for heating homes.

Businesses that are interested in learning more about the pelleting process can visit the Sizer team at this year's Great Yorkshire Show in Harrogate, held from July 13 July 15 2010.

Sizer engineers will be located in the renewable energy area of Yorkshire's largest agricultural show, demonstrating the versatility of the Sizer pelleting machines. The team will offer tips about how to generate extra income from waste products and new customers can take advantage of discounts on Sizer products.
