News: Rotherham's Beatson Clark chosen by international marmalade supplier

By

Worldwide supplier of traditional preserves, Mackays Ltd, has chosen Beatson Clark in Rotherham to supply its round 41ml glass preserve jar.

The Greasborough Road company already produces glass containers for most of Mackays' award winning ranges and now the Scottish firm will use Beatson Clark's white flint mini jar for marmalades, preserves and curds for Mackays' gift packs.

Paul Grant, MD of Mackays Preserves Ltd said: "As our highly acclaimed, award-winning reputation lies solely within the excellent quality of produce, the container our preserves are in is key to maintaining the brand and its superiority.

"We are pleased to be now using Beatson Clark, a British supplier that is recognised as a provider of quality glass containers and therefore a natural choice for our 41ml mini preserve jar."

Charlotte Taylor, marketing manager at Beatson Clark said: "Having already produced a range of containers for Mackays' it's fantastic that they have chosen to work with us again.

"Mackays products are designed to appeal to consumers looking for the very best ingredients and flavours so it is very important that they are stylishly packaged to stand out on the supermarket shelves and also provide that element of quality particularly for the gift packs and the Hotel industry.

"UK consumers associate glass packaging with premium products so Mackays preserves and Beatson Clark's high quality glass containers are the perfect match!"
