News: Further strength in depth at Martek Marine
Rotherham based Martek Marine has welcomed six new members of staff as the company continues its drive to add strength in depth to all of its key operations.
The innovative Manvers firm is the world leader in safety and environmental monitoring equipment for commercial ships.
With the recent launches of two new products, the Navgard bridge navigational watch alarm system (BNWAS) and the Vigilant funnel smoke monitoring system, Martek has added four staff to their sales and marketing teams.
Helen Taylor comes in as the new marketing manager having previously held the same role with a successful brand in the vehicle repair market.
Jonathan Love joins the company as Regional Sales Manager with initial commercial responsibility for Central Europe, Northern Europe and the Mediterranean. Jonathan holds a wealth of sales experience from Electronic distribution, Military/Aerospace and Lighting industries.
Kirsty Wilson joins the sales desk as the latest Fastcalgas Co-ordinator, supporting the EU sales efforts. Kirsty joins us from the calibration gas industry and will provide her valuable knowledge and experience to provide the best possible service to our fastcalgas customers.
Ryan Bullock joins the sales team in an Internal Business Development role having recently completed a Business and Law degree at the University of Teesside.
Also joining the company is Mike Clayton who is the New Product Development Manager and Patricia Cutter who comes into the role of Service Co-ordinator.
Martek began in 2000 with three employees and £6,000 in start up capital in the smallest unit in the RiDO-run Century Business Centre. Martek now employs over 50 people at purpose built premises in Adwick Park and their products can be found in vessels across the globe.
