News: Bramall building on their reputation in the South East

By

Rotherham based affordable housing and regeneration company, Bramall Construction has appointed John Walsh as a new Managing Director.

The role will build on Bramall's growing reputation for the new build and refurbishment of affordable housing in the East of England, London and the Home Counties.

John will work parallel to Neil Baxter who will continue in his role as Managing Director for the company's schemes in Yorkshire and the Humber and the East Midlands.

Communities are already starting to see the results of several exciting new schemes currently being delivered by Bramall, which has an office at Wyboston Lakes, Wyboston, Bedfordshire, and is due to open their main office in Capability Green, Luton, shortly.

The company's inaugural MD for the region will help Bramall develop new partnerships in the East of England, London and the Home Counties and will work closely with Registered Housing Providers, Local Authorities and a wide range of agencies John has grown to know in his time within the industry.

John will also work closely with Bramall's new and existing clients to support them in gaining funding from organisations such as the Homes and Communities Agency.

With a trade background, John previously spent 10 years working for Wates Construction and worked at Breyer Construction as Divisional Director before joining Bramall Construction.

John said: "My aim is to develop a business that will allow us to deliver an excellent service in the region and at the same time build on our track record of reliability and confidence. I want to make sure that our customers select Bramall as their first choice to help them deliver their long term ambitions.

"We want to unlock value for our customers, drive down cost and waste whilst maintaining the highest quality, support the environment and local communities whilst working in partnership to transform areas into thriving sustainable communities."

Bramall projects currently include the construction of 92 state-of-the art Extra Care apartments in Soham, 65 Extra Care apartments in Pitsea, Basildon and a £1.5 million scheme for 17 new dwellings at Sandy Acres, in Maulden.

Bramall recently completed one of the UK's largest zero carbon developments in Slough, Berkshire and are now working on site to build what are thought to be the first rural Passivhaus accredited homes in the UK at Wimbish, Essex.
