News: Indian automotive sector looking for UK suppliers

By

Representatives from the Indian automotive sector will be in Rotherham next month for a series of business meetings focusing on materials and light-weighting design.

India's automotive manufacturing sector is buoyant and Indian vehicle manufactures and their suppliers are looking for potential UK suppliers and partners involved in materials such as plastics, light-weight alloys and aluminium plus associated bonding technology for automotive applications and automotive light-weighting design.

UKTI are offering the opportunity for UK companies to meet key senior executives, with a specific interest in materials and light-weighting design from high profile Indian vehicle manufacturers and their supply chain, including Tata Motors, Bajaj Auto and Force Motors.

Taking place at National Metals Technology Centre (NAMTEC) in Rotherham on December 9, the event is a great opportunity for UK firms to identify business opportunities in this developing market and for academic, research institutions and companies to pitch for inward investment.

Experts from UKTI will also be there to offer first hand knowledge and experience of overseas markets to UK companies looking to sell their products overseas.
