News: Specialist Cooling secure UKSE loan

By

Rotherham-based Specialist Cooling has recently benefited from a UK Steel Enterprise development loan.

Dean Fairbourn turned to the Tata Steel subsidiary to help his new business expand stock and give him better purchasing power enabling him to buy in bulk.

With 12 years in industrial cooling market sector behind him, he saw a need for a specialist sourcing, wholesaler and stockist that focussed on rapid response and thorough and accurate service. Having identified a gap in the market, he used his own savings to set up the company at its Manvers base just a year ago. With the business now established and doing well he is now looking to take on another sales person to bring the wholesale business to even more industrial customers and contractors serving the North Midlands areas.

The company provide services to businesses involved in the refrigeration, air-conditioning, process and enclosure cooling markets including major bakeries, national supermarkets and OEMs sourcing and supplying parts for their critical systems.

Keith Williams, regional manager at UK Steel Enterprise said: "We were happy to provide the finance to help Dean achieve his growth plans. We have been helping finance company expansion for more than 30 years.

"Despite the economic climate we have funds available and are keen to invest. Specialist Cooling is one of many companies that we have funded in the last 12 months and we are continue to seek expanding businesses, buy-out or acquisition opportunities that require funding in South Yorkshire."
