News: Alan Wood & Partners take space at the AMP

Consulting civil and structural engineers, Alan Wood & Partners, have taken space on the Advanced Manufacturing Park in Rotherham.

Due to the increasing workload, the company's fifth office has opened in the AMP Technology Centre amongst engineering and technology companies, University spin-offs and subsidiaries of established companies.

With a head office in Hull, Alan Wood & Partners was established in the 1960's. The firm has grown substantially to provide a full range of engineering services in all areas of the construction industry and have taken on five new staff this year.

Their teams cover civil engineering, structural engineering, building and surveying plus specialities such as historic building conservation and flood risk assessments.

They have won numerous awards for their work including a Yorkshire and Humber ICE Award for St. Peters Footbridge at St. Peters School in York, a Civil Trust Award for The Rotunda Museum, Scarborough and won the Conservation Section in the York Design Awards 2010 for the Dutch House, Ogleforth.
