News: Moorhead Savage expands to tackle the debt crisis

By

Rotherham insolvency practice Moorhead Savage is expanding to meet increasing demand for its expertise as the effects of the recession are still being felt.

Based in RiDO's Moorgate Crofts business centre, the enterprise is headed by licensed insolvency practitioner Paul Moorhead who leads a team offering high quality, professional, impartial and ethical help and debt advice to both companies and individuals.

The company is in the process of appointing a new insolvency administrator and caseworker to help with an increasing workload.

Company founder Paul Moorhead said: "Our aim is to make sure that things run smoothly for all our clients at what is probably the most stressful time of their lives.

"This new member of the team will have a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the practice, ensuring that our clients are fully briefed on what is happening and helping them with any day to day issues that might arise, supporting other members of the team to ensure a satisfactory resolution to each case."

Moorhead Savage's expansion comes as statistics recently published by the government's Insolvency Service reveal that there has been a sharp increase in the number of firms being wound up by creditors.

Advice from Paul helped to save around 50 jobs at three firms in the region in the first quarter of this year.

In 2010, Moorhead Savage secured a RiDO Kick Start loan to enable the company to expand.
