News: Domino's delivers new jobs to the Dearne Valley

Domino's, the local pizza delivery expert, is set to create around 25-30 full and part-time jobs, when it opens its second outlet in Rotherham this month.

The 1,000 sq ft store will be located at the Onyx development on Manvers Way and the company is recruiting within the community for trainee managers, trainee pizza makers, customer service representatives and delivery experts.

Eddie El-Lamaa, franchisee for the new store, said: "We are looking forward to opening a new store in Rotherham and to employing people who live in the community that we'll be serving.

"First and foremost, we'll be looking for people who can deliver great customer service and demonstrate strong teamwork skills, as well as boundless enthusiasm. It's also vital to be able to maintain a sense of fun while working under pressure."

Founded in 1960, Domino's Pizza is one of the world's leading pizza delivery brands. Through its primarily franchised system, the operate a global network of more than 9,350 stores in 70 international markets. There are 688 stores in the UK.

The 2.5 acre Onyx scheme resides within the larger 285 acre Waterfront regeneration scheme and is being built by JF Finnegan Construction for Onward Holdings. Subway has also signed up and another of the 1,000 sq ft units is also about to go under offer for a hot food offering.
