News: Crawshaw's appoint new director

By

Crawshaw's, the Rotherham-based meat focussed retailer, has appointed Mark Naughton-Rumbo as non-executive director.

A qualified chartered accountant, Mark has held a number of key financial and commercial directorships in public and private SME companies in the retail sector.

He was CEO of tea specialists Whittard between October 2004 and February 2006, financial and commercial director of value fashion brand, Select between May 2007 and January 2008 and is currently CEO (Business & Strategy) of A|Wear Limited, an Irish womenswear brand.

The Craswhaw board stated that he has achievements in strategic development and implementation, experience of managing businesses in extremely challenging economic circumstances, delivering business turnaround and profitable growth.

As a result of tough market conditions that had affected sales and profit margins, the Bradmarsh Business Park company announced in June that they would look to broaden the product offer in order to increase sales to existing loyal customers, and to make the retail space work harder.

Richard Rose, chairman of Crawshaw, said: "I am delighted that Mark has agreed to join our Board as he will make a significant contribution given his extensive retail experience."
