News: Charity’s Assured approach to resident safety
Rotherham-based Assured Fire and Security has been awarded a extended contract with a national charity providing housing solutions for people with disabilities.
The Dinnington fire and security specialist will be providing a full range of fire safety systems at 450 Golden Lane Housing sites throughout the country.
The contract is worth £100,000 per year over the next three/five years for Assured.
Established by Mencap in 1998, Golden Lane Housing was formed to provide quality housing and to support people to make choices about where, how and with whom they wish to live their lives.
Since inception, Golden Lane Housing has invested more than £60m transforming the lives of more than 1,000 people by providing them with suitable supported living accommodation throughout England and Wales.
Simon Stokes, managing director at Assured, said: "We are delighted to be renewing and extending our working relationship with Mencap and Golden Lane Housing.
"Assured has been working with the charity for ten years and it means a lot to us that they have decided to extend their working relationship with us as we continue our programme of national expansion."
