News: TGB Sheds build relationship with Rotherham United

By

TGB Sheds, the Rotherham manufacturer of timber garden buildings, has agreed a deal to sponsor the new away shirt for Rotherham United for the next two years.

The new grey kit, complemented with red trim on the shirt, shorts and socks, will be worn by the recently promoted Millers as they embark on their League One campaign.

Graham Vernon, managing director of TGB Sheds, said: "Both Richard [Firth (production director)] and I have been Rotherham fans since birth and always wanted to support the club however we can. We've done some sponsorships here and there, but when this opportunity came up, we just couldn't turn it down and we jumped at the chance.

"The idea behind it is to support the club and to further boost our profile. We already have over 350 sites around the UK, so it makes sense for us to sponsor the away kit, as it will be seen by people around the country."

Established in 2007, the Eastwood firm manufactures sheds, summerhouses, playhouses, garages, kennels, storage units and bespoke special buildings.

"We're delighted with the new kit," said Millers head of commercial Mark Hitchens. "We believe this is a fresh-looking modern approach to our away kit and I would like to thank our new partners TGB Sheds who will be sponsoring us on the road. They are a company with roots deep in the heart of Rotherham and one I'm delighted we can work alongside.

"We looked at a selection of our most popular change kits in previous years and discussed how we could combine that with a modern-day design. I'm sure it will prove a big hit with the Millers supporters and we will be proud to see it gracing League One next season. We have also taken the decision to keep this kit for two years as we have with our current home kit, to help our supporters in today's tough economic climate."
