News: Owners hoping to strike a deal for Rotherham Superbowl

By

A Rotherham leisure complex and hotel has been put up for sale as part of a large portfolio of hospitality and leisure businesses.

The Rotherham Superbowl bowling alley, Oasis Health Club and adjacent Welcome Inn hotel in Kimberworth are being brought to market by specialist property adviser Christie + Co on behalf of property veteran Keith Brown.

The disposals mark the retirement of Keith Brown from the leisure and hospitality property industry, after 25 years in the sector.

The freehold of the Superbowl has a guide price of £395,000 whilst the health club in the same building has a guide price of £1.125m. The freehold of the 52-bedroom budget hotel is available for offers from £795,000.

The 24 lane bowling alley also includes two bars, an arcade and Wimpy outlet. Following a £500,000 fitness suite extension, the Oasis Health Club includes a gym, pool and jacuzzi, class studio, beauty salon, hairdressers and a café.

Jon Patrick, director and Head of Leisure at Christie + Co, said: "A portfolio of this diversity and potential — and nurtured for many years by Keith Brown — doesn't come around often. Available individually, in packages or as a whole, the portfolio represents an excellent opportunity for existing operators to expand their leisure businesses or for entrepreneurs to create a substantial foothold in the hospitality and leisure arena."
