Rotherham-based Insight NDT has been acquired by Exova, one of the world's leading laboratory-based testing groups.
With a facility on the Kilnhurst Business Park, Insight provides a high quality non destructive testing and radiographic inspection service to the industrial sector. Specialising in the radiographic inspection of cast, forged and welded products, the firm has been providing services to the European manufacturing industry since 1997.
The company also provides testing for the nuclear, medical, rail and oil & gas sectors with an experienced team of 20 specialists. It achieved revenues of around £2m in 2015.
Listed on the London Stock Exchange and headquartered in Edinburgh, Exova employs 4,300 global experts operating from 138 facilities in 33 countries to support 23,000 customers worldwide. For 2015, it posted revenues of £296.5m.

In 2008, Bodycote Testing Group was bought by Clayton, Dubilier and Rice, (CD&R), a global private equity firm whose strategy is to build on the excellent reputation in testing services and to expand the company into new areas. The division was rebranded as Exova in 2009.
Having taken space on the Advanced Manufacturing Park (AMP) in Rotherham, Exova acquired Catalyst Environmental Limited, the leading stack emissions testing specialist in the UK and Ireland, in 2014. The division, renamed Exova Catalyst currently has a specialist team at the Century Park Network Centre in Manvers, Rotherham.
