The subsidiary of the Paragon Group, the document management specialist, has acquired the trade and assets of Wright Printing Services for an undisclosed sum.

With more than 40 years experience, Wright Printing Services offers its customers a range of great quality printed materials including business stationery, promotional materials, laser and continuous forms, NCR sets, books and pads and reel to reel direct mail.

As a trade specialist, Wright will strengthen and complement the portfolio of businesses that Paragon now has focusing on this area.

The integration of Wright Printing Services allows us to demonstrate our commitment to the trade market."

Wright Printing Services Managing Director, Ian Wright, added: "The Paragon Group is a major pan-European player within the industry and to be part of such a Group provides Wright's with a world of opportunity. The group felt that our offering was complementary to the portfolio of services already offered."

Entrepreneurs Ian Wright and Emma Dutton bought the firm from Nigel Dace and Alison Murrie in 2008. They ran the business since 1986 following their parents Keith and Joyce Dace, who established the firm in 1970.

WPS employs 40 staff and occupies 26,000 sq ft premises on Hellaby Industrial Estate.

This deal forms part of a wider strategy of growth for the Paragon Group, which has seen the business purchase over 12 businesses in the last decade.

News: Rotherham printing company gets it Wright with SYIF

By

Rotherham-based Wright Printing Services Ltd has recently received the first tranche of a planned £500,000 investment from South Yorkshire Investment Fund (SYIF).

Wright Printing Services (WPS) whose customers are print management organisations, brokers and in some instances other printers, produce a vast range of printed products for use in the financial services, retail and a variety of other sectors.

WPS employs 42 full and part-time staff and occupies 26,000 sq ft premises at Hellaby and the company was bought by Ian Wright and Emma Dutton in 2008.

Ian Wright, managing director and Emma Dutton, finance director at WPS are delighted to have been able to attract investment from SYIF at this important stage of businesses development.

Ian said: "The company is currently working on plans to improve its reprographics systems, to ensure the technology and capacity are in place to support the anticipated growth in revenue planned over the next few years."

WPS produces a variety of products ranging from stationery to full colour brochures and folders, and offers its customers an almost unique level of diversity, making WPS one of the leading trade printers in the UK.

But like most of the manufacturing industry, WPS has been challenged through the recession - but clear objectives and a passion for success have been rewarded with record sales in each of the last three months.

Paul Betts, investment manager at SYIF said "Our investment in WPS demonstrates our confidence in the Management Team and the company's ability to grow the business, which will be helped as the economy strengthens. They are well positioned to capitalise as things improve."

Irwin Mitchell advised SYIF on the investment.
