Rotherham manufacturing firm CMD Ltd has taken the opportunity to recognise the achievements of some of their longest serving members of staff as part of its 30th Anniversary celebrations.

Based at Eastwood, the office solutions company has a product range offering underfloor power systems, lighting and power busbars, lighting control systems, together with office power, cable management and ergonomic solutions.

Between them, six members of the CMD workforce have clocked up 124 years of service.

But not far behind him are Mark Windle with 23 years, Claire Scattergood with 21 years, Mandy Bulcroft with 19 years,Steve Robinson with 18 years and Margaret Timmings, also with 18 years.

Peter, who is an electrical operative at CMD, said: "I've seen a lot of changes in that time.

Established in Rotherham in 1984 and the subject of a management buyout in 2008, the company now turns over £16m, employing over 170 people, and is proud of its roots in the town and the way in which it has continued to grow and prosper through the recession.

Steve Cole, managing director at CMD, said: "As we celebrate this very special anniversary, we are particularly proud of a workforce who have been on this great journey with us.

"The backbone of any company has to be the people who work for it and we are particularly lucky to have a loyal team working in many different ways to ensure our continuing success."

As well as featuring in numerous offices and workplaces, the staff are eager to point out that its ground breaking products have also been seen in a string of hit TV shows and movies, including BBC spy favourite Spooks, deep space cult comedy classic Red Dwarf and Hollywood action adventure The Expendables, with Sylvester Stallone. And fans might have even spotted CMD's monitor arms on the set of long running BBC show, Top Gear.

Cole added: "As we celebrate our 30th anniversary it is great to know that our products are reaching such a wide audience internationally.

"Our monitor arms might not be the star of the show but without them it could very well be a case that the show can't go on!"
