News: Widening of M1 in Rotherham nears completion

The new M1 northbound carriageway between junctions 31 to 32 in Rotherham fully re−opened last weekend and the new southbound lanes are expected to be finished before Christmas. The £20m road-widening scheme is part of a larger project to increase traffic capacity on the M1 nationally and on the M62 in West Yorkshire.
