News: £3.5m scheme launched in Rotherham
The latest Rotherham Renaissance town-centre transformation project, the Townscape Heritage Initiative (THI) has been launched. As reported last week, the £3.5m scheme aims to breathe new life into the town's High Street by funding essential repair work, improving shop frontages and transforming currently unused space into residential apartments. Council leader and Renaissance Town Team chairman Cllr Roger Stone said “An economically strong and attractive High Street is the pinnacle of a successful town – and it is because of this that the money is being concentrated in this area.”
