News: Corus in a strong position to benefit from emerging economies

By

Corus Engineering Steels, based at Aldwarke in Rotherham, is in a strong position to benefit from new markets and opportunities opened up following the takeover by Indian company, Tata, last year. In addition to making steels for the automotive sector, including fuel injection systems, engine and gear box components, CES’ advanced steels go into safety critical aerospace and power generation – two other areas of interest for the emerging economies of India and China. CES chief Kees Stolwijk told The Star: “We have had several visits from Tata executives. They are impressed by the products we deliver into the market and quite supportive of the business."
