News: Greener commuting promoted in South Yorkshire
The South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive with p&mm are hosting a free seminar to promote to local businesses the benefits of reducing their carbon footprint by encouraging greener commuting, and at the same time saving employees up to 41% off their bus travel. The salary sacrifice scheme, greentravel2work, has been developed by p&mm to support the Government’s Green Travel Plan. It aims to encourage commuters to use local buses instead of cars to travel to and from the workplace and gives employers and staff financial benefits too. The breakfast seminar is taking place on Monday 7th April at 9am at the Holiday Inn Royal Victoria, Sheffield, and will also explain how greentravel2work was launched successfully in Nottingham last year.
