News: SYPTA appoint Director General

South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Authority has appointed David Brown as Director General of South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive (SYPTE). David, currently Passenger Services Director at SYPTE, replaces Roy Wicks who is retiring on 31 March after 10 years as Director General. Andrea Milner, Chair of South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Authority, said: "I am delighted that we have appointed David. He has a wealth of experience which he will bring to this challenging role. "Public transport in South Yorkshire has a crucial role to play in the economic development of the region, reducing congestion on our roads and improving the environment."
