News: Face looks set to be a model business

By

Face Model Management has become one of the first companies in business at Rotherham's Fusion @ Magna business centre. Louise Chambers and Craig Fleming have joined forces to launch Face from the newly opened £5m centre. Their priority is to recruit and develop models, giving them the skills and confidence to forge a successful career. Part of their operation will include a creative division, which will bring together top make-up artists, stylists and photographers, ensuring that their models are absolutely perfect for each assignment. Face is already working with various bridal companies, hairdressers and corporate organisations and Louise Chambers hopes to forge relationships with some of her former clients, such as DFS, Argos and Yamaha. Louise said: "Craig and I have always worked in the industry and understand the challenges and pressures models face. As a result we are planning to introduce our own model programme, which will provide training in everything from the catwalk and make-up application to photographic techniques. "Although this is our first venture together we’re confident we have the background and commitment to develop a successful northern agency that can compete head-on with the London names." Fusion @ Magna is operated by Rotherham Investment & Development Office (RiDO), the council’s regeneration arm. Louise added: "Image is everything in our world, so we spent time hunting for premises that would give the right impression. The great thing about Fusion @ Magna is that it’s in a central location, it’s eco-friendly, stylish and provides us with a platform to grow from." So successful is Fusion proving that RiDO is now working on filling an even newer centre under construction at Dinnington, in the south of the borough. Matrix @ Dinnington is set to open in October.
