Expanding Rotherham company, Martek Marine have secured a deal for a further seven award winning MariNOx onboard emissions monitoring systems from Greek ship management company Metrostar Management Corp, one of the World’s leading ship management companies. The systems were ordered after the fantastic results from recent fuel savings trials, which have taken place over recent months on several of the vessels in the Metrostar fleet. Director Steve Coulson said: "It’s a significant achievement to have been awarded the contract for a further seven MariNOx emissions monitoring systems, it is a measure of a strong partnership and commitment from both parties towards environmental best practice and corporate social leadership. Martek certainly believes that Metrostar is exactly the kind of visionary shipping company that we relish the opportunity to work with." Last month Martek announced that they had been awarded a SFI grant to help finance the further development and expansion of the business in the next two years.
