News: Dinnington team developing the next Lewis Hamilton

Manor Motorsport, based in Dinnington, Rotherham has signed off the 2008 Formula 3 Euroseries by finishing fifth on 76.5 points in the teams’ championship. Newly crowned Formula 1 World Champion, Lewis Hamilton honed his skills with the team during three successful years up to 2004, before stepping up a gear to join the F1 series. Japanese star Koudai Tsukakoshi has been Manor’s most successful driver of the 2008 campaign. The Honda protege finished in equal sixth place on 36 points. British sensation, Sam Bird, finished his maiden season in F3 Euroseries 11th overall on 23 points. This month, Yorkshireman Jon Lancaster will join Manor’s regular F3 drivers Sam Bird and Kazuya Oshima as part of the team’s three car assault on the 55th Macau Formula 3 Grand Prix.
