News: Keeping Rotherham businesses safe from crime
A free event has been organised for the new year with the aim of putting crime out of business. The Business Crime Reduction Centre working in partnership with Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of Commerce is hosting a seminar titled "Keeping your Business Safe from Crime" in Rotherham on Thursday January 29. The Business Crime Reduction Centre (BCRC) is an initiative which helps small to medium enterprises in the South Yorkshire area tackle problems caused by crime. The seminar has been designed to help businesses protect private data and avoid becoming a victim of computer crime, discover how to secure your premises and understand how to help reduce the impact of crime. Business Crime Reduction Advisor Andre Harris urged Rotherham businesses to attend: "This free event offers local businesses the chance to find out what the BCRC and South Yorkshire Police are doing to help create a safer Rotherham, where businesses can operate and flourish, with as little impact from crime as possible by offering this free advisory service. "So don't wait until it's too late before you look at the security of your Business." The event takes place at Brinsworth Training on Sheffield Road at 9:30am on January 29.
