Rope and Sling Specialists (the RSS Group) has opened their first northern depot in Rotherham. RSS supply lifting and height safety equipment mainly for the construction industry and are based in Bridgend, Wales. They specialise in the manufacture of steel wire rope slings and fibre rope slings and have been involved with projects for Corus and Laing O'Rourke and helped to lift the 20 tonne big screens into place at the Millennium Stadium. The construction boom in the Middle East has seen the RSS' Abu Dhabi division rapidly gaining customers. RSS also operate specialist training courses in the safe use and management of mechanical handling and access equipment. The Rotherham depot is at Aspen Court, Templeborough.
