News: Beatson Clark unveil extension plans

Award winning glass manufacturer Beatson Clark have submitted plans to extend their Rotherham site. The plans are for a 168 sq m (1808 sq ft) extension to their Glassworks at Greasbourough Road. The extension is to enable Beatson Clark to increase production and would include creating 15 - 18 temporary jobs. In September, Beatson Clark announced a £2m investment in machinery and facilities to supply an extra 75 million units of clear glass containers to the industry. The firm has a turnover of £51m and a current production capacity of some 800 million units or 135,000 tonnes. The Rotherham site employs around 300 people. Beatson Clark will be showcasing its latest products on stand 409 in the Ecopack section of the Easyfairs Exhibition on 11-12 February at the Birmingham NEC.
